Soet Rooinek Cherry Gin
Soet Rooinek Cherry Gin is De Vry Distillery’s playful interpretation of a modern fruit-infused gin. Crafted using fresh cherries sourced from the renowned fruit-growing region of Ceres, this unique spirit delivers a beautifully balanced combination of classic gin character and rich cherry flavour.
The journey begins by macerating fresh cherries in neutral alcohol, allowing the fruit’s natural flavours, aromas and colour to be extracted. The resulting cherry syrup is then carefully blended with our handcrafted gin to create a spirit that is vibrant, approachable and exceptionally smooth.
Containing approximately 50% gin, Soet Rooinek places less emphasis on juniper and traditional botanicals, allowing the luscious cherry notes to take centre stage. The result is a slightly fruity gin with hints of cherry liqueur, warming glühwein spices and a naturally sweet finish.
Because we use real cherries and natural ingredients, the colour may vary slightly from batch to batch, making every bottle a true reflection of the harvest.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Fresh cherries, red berries and subtle spice.
Palate
Sweet cherry, soft juniper, hints of cinnamon and fruit liqueur.
Finish
Smooth, warming and gently fruity with lingering cherry notes.

Serve over ice and enjoy a small taste neat before mixing.
