Description
Die Groot Kominus Vodka
Inspired by traditional Russian-style vodka drinking, Die Groot Kominus Vodka showcases the art of creating a premium grain vodka with exceptional smoothness and character.
Unlike many vodkas that are produced from potatoes, Die Groot Kominus is crafted from a carefully selected blend of sorghum, barley, and rye. This combination creates a distinctive flavour profile that remains delicate while offering more depth than a typical neutral vodka.
The spirit is distilled three times through an 8-plate column still, reaching an impressive 94% alcohol before dilution. It is then carefully reduced to 43% ABV using distilled water, creating a clean, refined vodka with remarkable smoothness.
While vodka is often associated with neutrality, Die Groot Kominus retains subtle hints of its grain origins. Chilled and served over ice, it reveals delicate sweetness alongside notes of grain, rusks, and freshly baked biscuits.
Whether enjoyed neat from the freezer, over ice, or as the foundation of a premium cocktail, Die Groot Kominus Vodka delivers a sophisticated drinking experience that reflects the craftsmanship of De Vry Distillery.
