Crafted using traditional distillation methods, this premium gin combines bold juniper notes with bright citrus character and carefully selected local botanicals. What sets Droë Rooinek apart is the inclusion of Khakibos and Kosmos, two botanicals deeply rooted in the South African landscape. Khakibos contributes a distinctive citrus aroma, while Kosmos adds subtle floral complexity, creating a gin that is both familiar and uniquely local.
Our gin is distilled using a combination of maceration and vapour infusion. Harder botanicals are macerated directly in the still to extract rich oils and flavours, while more delicate botanicals are suspended in a vapour basket where aromatic steam gently releases their essential oils. This dual-process approach ensures a balanced and complex spirit with exceptional depth of flavour.
